PCHELIT
What for?
What for?

“PCHELIT” consists of special yeast strain cells. This strain of yeast contains a lot of invertase which hydrolyzes sucrose (70-90% of sucrose breaks down). The resulting mixture of fructose and glucose (in equal proportions) is called inverted sugar syrup.

This enzyme agent helps us to make invert syrup for feeding bees late in autumn or early in spring. Such feeding stimulates growth of bee colonies and increases their productivity.

“PCHELIT” has been successfully tested at the Laboratory Institute of Beekeeping feed in town Rybnoye and at production apiary "Krasnaya Polyana" in town Adler. These organizations have tested a lot of veterinary medicines for bees.

The bees were fed with invert sugar syrup (prepared using “PCHELIT”). The resulting test data suggest that the invert syrup obtained by using “PCHELIT” has distinct advantages over conventional sugar syrup:

  1. Feeding invert syrup to the bees during the period without honeyflow allows them to save energy otherwise expended by them for processing non-invert sugar syrup.
  2. Invert syrup, enriched with amino acids, group B vitamins, lipids, macro-and micronutrients, extends the life of bees, increasing their immunity.
  3. Supplementary feeding of invert syrup increases the total amount of feeds given in autumn, up to 10 kg, making no harm to the bees.
  4. The bees digest invert syrup easily; it doesn’t lead to the exhaustion of the bees.
  5. Invert syrup increases the amount of honey, obtained from bee colonies.

“PCHELIT” has a high invertase activity. Inversion is carried by 70-90% in 48 hours requiring little amount of agent (400 mg/kg of sugar), the air temperature should be 20-30°С. This makes possible preparing invert syrup at home.

Acquiring this yeast-enzymatic agent you will get more honey, more beeswax, more royal jelly, more pollen from your bees, making no harm to them!

It is recommended to feed invert syrup to the bees early in spring (50% syrup), the colonies becoming stronger, and during poor honeyflow. In August and September it’s better to use 60-65% syrup, the beekeepers giving up to 5 kg of syrup to each colony.

An important fact is that invert syrup, obtained by means of "PCHELIT" makes the bees’ digestive processes easier. It is especially recommended for weak bees.

Now “PCHELIT” is being tested in the apiary greenhouse, where fruit and vegetables are pollinated by bumblebees. Tests which mimic the conditions of bee colonies wintering are being conducted; we’re feeding bees with invert syrup. The data from these tests, along with recommendations for the use of “Pchelit”, you can find on our website.

“PCHELIT”should be stored in original packaging in dark, dry place. The temperature should be between +4 and +6 °C. Shelf life period - 2 years.
